Users of The Calving Book App get a personalized experience. Not everyone uses every field we offer so we offer a ‘Settings’ page where users can pick and choose what they want to use. We try to accommodate everyone by really listening to the feedback we get. With that being said, don’t be shy about offering feedback.
When we began development of the app, we knew one thing: we had to keep it simple. If a person has to spend a long time trying to figure the app out, they weren’t going to want to use it. With that being said, our apps are as complicated as you make them. They can be as simple as entering calving records or as complicated as entering other information to track dam and sire info.
A mobile record-keeping system for the ranching industry is a relatively new idea. Now instead of flipping through pages upon pages to find a record, it is easy to search for it. When your phone gets dropped in mud or washed, your records aren’t ruined like they would be with a traditional paper/pen calving book.
